Pen and Ink Mode
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
Go to the Player Edit screen, select Canada and enter MARC as your name (all caps). You can
now play the game in pen and ink mode.
Remove Stadium:
Go to the Player Edit screen, select any team, then enter CATCH22 as your name (all caps). You
can now play without a stadium, resulting in a much better frame rate.
Tiny Players
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
Go to the Player Edit screen, select the Vancouver team and enter KERRY as your name (all caps).
Your players will now be tiny.
Unlimited Player Points:
To get unlimited player points, enter the Player Edit screen, pick Vancouver as your team, and enter
DAVE as your name (all caps).
Unlock Road to World Cup Round 2
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
To get to Round 2 of the game, enter the Player Edit screen, select Japan as your country and enter
the player name YUJI (all caps).
Upside Down Mode
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
Here's another version of the upside down mode in
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98: Enter Player Edit, pick Vancouver as your team
and enter the player's name as TED (all caps). The screen will now be flipped upside down, but the
scores and names are left normal.
Ghost Players:
Go to the Player Edit screen, select the Slovakia team and enter LASKO as your name (all caps).
Your players will now be ghosts.
Invisible Players:
Go to the Player Edit screen, select the Sheffield Wednesday team and enter WAYNE as your
name (all caps). Your players will now be invisible.
Upside Down
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
Go to Player Edit (under Customize Squad) and select Australia as your team. Then enter the name
of the player as NWODEDISPU (all caps) and the screen will be played upside down.
End Sequences
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
To check out some of the cool victory animations, go into the Player Edit mode, pick Japan as your
country, and enter the name NORIE as the player name. Now go to the Round Select screen
(RTWC) and press Z + C-Left + C-Up all at the same time.
Hot Potato Mode
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
Go into the Player Edit menu, pick Ireland (R Ireland, UEFA) and enter the name SPUD for your
player name (all caps). This cheat makes a timer appear, and when it counts down to zero, your
players fall on their backsides.
Invisible Walls
FIFA Road to the World Cup 98:
To play with invisible walls, enter the Player Edit menu, select Wales as your country and enter the
name WARREN (all caps.)
